Welcome

Hi, everybody.
I see you've somehow gotten the address for this blog, which I'm starting as an easier means of communicating with all my friends and family. Easier than writing individual emails, that is, and trying to get all the right addresses on the list. And of course, you can catch up with what I've been up to at your liesure. I like to write and I know there are some who have said they actually enjoy what I write, so I'll give this a shot. Whether I continue with this new venture remains to be seen, pending whether anyone will bother to look at it, who is reading, and the kind of feedback I get. Naturally, there are some security issues to be dealt with as the internet tends to be all too public. So for sordid details, I imagine I'll still have to rely on email. I'm not sure yet what information about what I'm up to I'll be able to share. (On the other hand, this site is awfully public, too) I'm thinking I'll just avoid using names and places and other info that doesn't need to be public and will hopefully be known by those I had intended on taking part in this blog.
As it stands, we made it to Germany ok and have gotten ourselves partially settled, pending the arrival of our car and household type stuff. I'm due to leave for warmer climes on the 29th. What I'll be doing and where I'll be is still TBD.

Well, I guess that's a start.
